Step 1

Your adviser will discuss your goals and requirements with you either face-to-face or over the telephone, whichever you prefer. They will help you consider all the options, explore alternatives and answer your questions.

Together you’ll decide whether equity release is right for you. If equity release is not the right solution for you, we will state the reasons why and provide you with alternative options to consider.

Step 2

Your adviser will present their recommendations, and if you are happy to go ahead, they can help you complete your application.

This will be sent to your chosen provider who will arrange a valuation of your property.

Step 3

Your provider will issue your offer directly to you, and once the legal paperwork is complete, your funds will be released.


How long will it take to release cash from my home?

The process can take up to 13 weeks. A typical timescale for the process is as follows:

Day 1 You get in contact with us either by phone or email.
Next 1 to 2 weeks We have our first meeting with you and complete a detailed analysis of your circumstances which will also enable us to conduct a state benefits review.
Weeks 3 to 5 We have our second meeting to discuss all your options, the costs and what you would like to do next. If you decide to go ahead we can help you complete your application.
Weeks 6 to 13 The provider will arrange for your property to be surveyed and then they will make you an offer. We will regularly check the progress with the relevant provider and contact you after you receive your funds to check you’re happy with everything.
